那时在农村的老马25岁，勉强娶了媳妇。媳妇怀孕后，为了家的未来，老马把牙一咬，只身一人偷渡去了香港。老马是个头脑灵活、敢想敢干的人，半年以后在香港靠在饭店打工立住脚跟，又把妻子接了过去。
马一是个男孩，在香港出生，随后老马的妻子又怀孕了。老马又咬咬牙，只身一人来了美国，继续做香港的本行：在唐人街的中国餐馆里打工谋生，每月把所有挣到的钱都寄给香港的妻小。
马二是个女孩，也在香港出生。当时在香港的生活极为艰苦，房子小且潮湿闷热不堪，她和放学的哥哥后要做各种家务和手工，来帮助家里。
老马很幸运，赶上了美国立国二百年的大赦，成了合法移民。虽然身份合法了，但经济收入仍然很糟糕。于是老马再一次咬牙：做了人蛇。没错没错，老马做了五六年的人蛇，积攒了一大笔钱。终于放下心来，洗手不干，把一家人接来了美国。
那是八十年代初期，糊涂还在大学里读书，老马一家人在美国团聚，开始了新生活。

Within 2 days it already looks like I have foot issues, see picture. I always walk straight and have equal wear on both feet, all sides, but in these shoes I look handicapped. Inside of right shoe doesn't feel good, I can feel the stitches and it hurts my pinky toe. Second star because of the low price but this can't be good for my posture/back/ankles.

(Not a Bot)Shoes look really good, color and design look really good. Took about 2 weeks to come in, box had slight dent in it but that’s fine. Only reason I giving it a 4 star instead of 5 is bc on the insides of the holes and around the bottoms have some small spots of the material flinging off but you can not notice unless ur dead up on the shoe, I just pulled the small pieces of. Overall good pair of reps will buy another pair in diff color very soon
